Pearl St, late Wednesday afternoon. He lived alone. A friend, Alonzo Stemen, worried by absence since Monday of Bowers, called detectives Raymond Hogan and Al Grady, who found the body. Officers and the coroner reported the elderly man apparently had been dead for several days. Altho there was no immediate evidence of foul play, Lewis said he wished to make a thoro investigation before returning a verdict. Bowers was born in Waynesfied, but had lived in Lima for many years. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Orpha Gordon, 612 Marion-av; Mrs Helen Langley, of Texas; Mrs Donza Cramer, of Detroit, and a son Lloyd Bowers also of Detroit. Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Lewis home. The Rev. E.J. Penhorwood will be in charge.
