Officers said that Mr Adams had taken his own life by attaching a garden hose to the exhaust pipe and extending it into the interior of the vehicle.The car was parked in a barn adjoining the Adams residence. The body was discovered at 6:15 a.m. by the victim's wife Julia.Mrs Adams told officers that she found her husband with the motor running.Mrs Adams said she had last seen her husband Tues afternoon when he left for his job on the 4 p.m. to midnight shift at the Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton Corp.where he was employed as a machinist.Mrs Adams told officers that her husband had been despondent over his health. The body was removed to the Davis-Miller & Son funeral home.Mr.Adams was born Jan 9,1906 in Lima to Noah and Maude(Little)Adams.Surviving besides his widow are a son Ralph D at home,two daughters, Farel of 140 1/2 W High St,Helen at home,a brother Emanuel of Lima,three sisters;Mrs Clyde(Joanna)Blue,Mrs Florence Huston,Mrs Clara Brown all of Lima. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m.Sat in the Davis-Miller Cathedral chapel with the Rev Willard Thomas officiating.Burial will be Munith cemetery,Munith Mi.The body will remain in the funeral home until after services.
