CAROLINE BRICE And Claims Her For Its Own – Summons Came at Ten O’Clock This Morning – Funeral Arrangements Have Not as Yet Been Made. Another beloved wife and mother this morning at ten o’clock answered the call of the death angel. Mrs. Caroline Brice, wife of our popular city engineer, this morning after an illness of but ten days, suffering with stomach trouble gives up the life and entered the sleep that knows no wakening at her home 714 west Market street. The deceased was born in Indianapolis November 10, 1869, and moved to this city after marrying Mr. J. K. Brice. She was very popular and had made quite a reputation for herself as an elocutionist, having taken part in many local engagements. She was not only a loving wife and an ideal mother but she was loved by all who knew her, owing to the Christian life she led and the influence she brought to bear by her association. The funeral services have not as yet been made but interment will be made at Woodlawn cemetery. Besides her husband, one son and a daughter are left to mourn the loss."
