"STEWART BRICE DIES	

New York, June 10 – Stewart M. Brice, son of the late Calvin S. Brice, United 
States senator from Ohio, died at Asbury Park, in his fortieth year.  Mr. 
Brice was born in Lima, O., and was graduated from Harvard in 1893.  In 
college he was a member of the varsity football team; went to the Spanish war 
on General Shafter’s staff; studied law, and was elected councilman on the 
Tammany ticket in 1898.  Later he attracted attention by denouncing Richard 
Croker."
