Delphos Herald, 19 May 1881
Charley Burkmeyer died of typhoid pheumonia at his residence in this city on 
Sunday morning last, after a very short illness, and was buried from the 
Catholic church Tuesday morning. Charley was well known to our citizens and 
highly esteemed by all. He leaves a wife and two small children to mourn his 
loss.
