OLD AND RESPECTED RESIDENT PASSES TO LAST REWARD

JAMES LANGAN, one of the old residents of Lima died this afternoon at his 
home, 128 north West street.  He has been ill for several weeks, but took a 
sudden turn for the worse just a short time before his death.  So sudden was 
the change that there was not sufficient time for the only son, HARRY LANGAN, 
of New York city, to reach his father’s bedside before death came.  The son is 
on his way here, however, and will arrive tonight to be with his mother in her 
bereavement.

JAMES LANGAN for many years kept a grocery store on the northeast corner of 
the square and for a long time was water works trustee.
