The funeral of the late PETER MYERS took place Friday afternoon December 29th, 
at 1:30 from the late residence, 240 South Elizabeth street.  The obsequies 
were conducted by the Revs. Thomsom and Davis.  After the ceremonies were 
concluded, all that remained of Peter Myers was escorted to Woodlawn cemetery 
and quietly consigned to the grave.  Peter Myers was born in Allentown, Ohio, 
July 16th, 1836.  He was a son of WILLIAM and ANNA MYERS.  On the 25th of 
Dec., 1860, he was united in marriage to MARY F. HUME.  The fruit of this 
union was two daughters, NANNIE, who died at the age of 9 years, and NELLIE 
L., the wife of J. J. KIRBY.  He moved to Lima in 1864, where he went to work 
for the Ft. Wayne Railroad, which company he was with up to the time of his 
sickness.  About two weeks ago he became bedfast and died on the 26th of 
December.
