Main st. Saturday at 12:30. Death was due to a complication of disease. The deceased leaves a wife, three sons and three daughters to survuve; CARL, of Spencerville; ALBA, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Mrs, ROSE MILLER, of Spencerville; Mrs. CONNER MILLER, of Greenville; Mrs. JULIA NESLY, of Elida; Four brothers survive; Elza, of Spencerville; J.B. and GEORGE, of Lima and WILLIAM, of Cridersville. Three sisters; Mrs. JOHN RICHIE and Mrs, JUSTUS ROMSHE, both of Wapakometa and Mrs. CHARLES BOWSHER, of Lima. Shaffer spent the most of his life on his farm north of Spencerville. For the past 22 years, he has been a resident of the village. Funeral services will be conducted at the Hartford Church, Tuesday at 10 a.m. REV. FOLTZ, of Harrod will pearch the funeral sermon. Burial will take place in themausoleum in Hartford Cemetery. The Masons will have charge of the funeral services. ****** Simon Shaffer was married first to Margaret Richardson, daughter of G.W. and Julia (Frances) Richardson. He, when married Lydia (Miller) Richardson, Veale. At the time of his death he was married to Mahala Hooker.
