Lima News, October 18, 1944
Mrs. Charles Simpkins, aged 78 years, died at this morning at her residence, 
two miles south of Columbus Grove.  She was a member of the Congregational-
Christian church.

She is survived by her husband; a foster daughter, Juanita; a brother, Wesley 
Cunningham of Berrien Center, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Ella Sawtell of Toledo; 
and three half brothers, Daniel and Arch Johnson of Columbus Grove, and Jess 
of Fostoria.

The body will remain at the Hartman Sons funeral home, Columbus Grove, where 
final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Friday.  Rev. Ray N. Seely will conduct the 
services.  Burial will be in Turo cemetery.
