Catherine D. Smith has by her attorney T. J. Remington, of Spencerville, filed suit against her husband, Jacob Smith, for divorce February 1890 Sarah Jane Remagen vs Peter Remagen – divorce; three year's absence found and divorce granted Clara Nelson vs. Jas. K. Nelson, et. al. – divorce and alimony. Decree granted on grounds of gross neglect and cruelty; plaintiff given custody of children; at her costs. Estella E. Ruble was granted divorce from Amos Ruble, he being found guilty of adultery, gross neglect and extreme cruelty. She was also granted $500 alimony and given title to all property about the house, also quiet title to her separate personal and real property, and care of the children. Susan H. Courtney has, through attorney, W. B. Ritchie, filed for divorce from her husband, F. H. Courtney. A decree of divorce was granted Geneva Ballard from her husband, John, on the ground of three years willful absence, at her cost. May1890 Ellie B. Roberts, through her attorneys, Ridenour & Halfhill, has filed a petition for divorce from John C. Roberts. Ella Means granted a divorce from Edward Means, by Judge Richie. June 1890 Estella Aultman filed suit for divorce in the Common Pleas Court from her husband, Granville M. Aultman. Wm. S. Bogart was granted a divorce from Elizabeth Bogart on the grounds of willful absence at the plaintiff's cost. August 1890 Mrs. Estella Aultman was granted a divorce at the last term of court from her husband, Granville M. Aultman, on the grounds of gross neglect and willful absence. She was also allowed alimony to the amount of $500. Another case of marital misery, comes to light through the medium of the courts in the filing of the divorce suit of Joseph Morgan vs. Anna E. Morgan. After 42 years of married life, this aged couple seek to be released from their marital ties, and hope to end their last few declining years apart from one another. October 1890 James M. Harter vs. Mary C. Harter, petition for divorce. Geo. N. Leasure, for plaintiff. November 1890 Divorce suit. Common Pleas Court. Ella Sloan vs H. T. Sloan. The plaintiff prays for a divorce and reasonable alimony and to be restored to her maiden name. Divorce suit. Common Pleas Court. Mrs. J. A. Davis vs Joseph Davis. Plaintiff prays for divorce and alimony. There are no children. In the common Pleas Court Judge Richie granted Nathaniel Buck a divorce from Susan Buck, at the plaintiff's costs. Mrs. Buck did not appear. Judge Richie granted Joseph Morgan a divorce from Anna E. Morgan, on the grounds of willful absence. Both parties have reached the allotted term of three score years and ten.
