Alice M. Richards against Abner B. Richards, action of divorce. Order of injunction also filed against defendant disposing his property. Glenn & Robinson attorneys for plaintiff. February 7, 1898 Allen County. Rebecca Coffman was granted a divorce from her husband, John Coffman, at Lima, Friday, and shortly after the decree was granted by the court, Rush Cooper secured a license and married the woman. The bride is said to be a daughter of ex-commissioner Bice. The parties live in Amanda township. February 10, 1898 Van Wert County. Mary B. Long has been granted a divorce from Charles W. Long. September 8, 1898 Allen County. At Lima, Friday, Judge Robb granted a divorce to Elizabeth Wurstner from her husband Alois Wurstner. Mrs. Wurstner was given custody of the minor child. December 6, 1898 Allen County. Minnie Shultz, of Lima, was granted a divorce from her husband, who deserted her after six weeks. She was 14 and he 18 years of age when they were married. December 28, 1898 Allen County. Divorced three times. Will. Hoffrichter has been granted a divorce from his wife, Elizabeth F. Hoffrichter. He charged her with gross neglect of duty and unfaithfulness. The parties are Delphos people and the matrimonial knot was untied at Lima, Tuesday. This is the third time the defendant has been divorced. February 10, 1899 Mrs. Genevra Johnstone-Bishop has been granted a divorce by the courts of Marion from her husband, Dr. Rufus Bishop. She is a native of Van Wert, and has sang before Delphos audiences. February 20, 1899 James Seitz has commenced divorce proceedings against his wife, Clara Seitz, on the ground of willful absence. They live in Washington township, a few miles west of Delphos. March 25, 1899 Mary Keis has been granted a divorce from Oliver Keis on the charge of drunkenness. They live in Spencerville. April 20, 1899 Jesse G. Zimmerman, ex-Mayor of Willshire, is the defendant in a divorce suit. His wife charges adultery. August 8, 1899 "Lima Times": Joseph T. Rippey, of Delphos, was to-day granted a decree of divorce by Judge Robb from E. Grace Rippey on the ground of willful absence for more than a year. November 17, 1899 Divorce Suit. Lester G. Baxter and Miss Bertha Satterthwaite were married on February 19, 1895. Now, Mr. Baxter is seeking a legal separation from Bertha, on the grounds of neglect of duties and desertion. Plaintiff is at present postmaster at Wetsel, Van Wert county. The defendant formerly lived in Delphos, and both are well known here. May 28, 1900 LOUISA BOUR VS. JOSEPH BOUR. Mrs. Louisa Bour has been granted a divorce from Joseph Bour, but the court has not yet decided as to the amount of alimony. June 19, 1900 AMELIA BUTLER VS. NEWTON BUTLER. Legal Notice. Newton Butler, whose place of residence is unknown, will take notice that on the 4th day of May A.D. 1900, Amelia Butler filed her petition in the Court of Common Pleas of Allen county, Ohio, against him praying for a divorce from said Newton Butler on the ground of gross neglect of duty, and to be restored to her name of Amelia Lybarger before marriage to him the said Newton Butler and for other proper relief. Said cause will be for hearing after the expiration of six weeks from the 5th day of May A.D. 1900. AMELIA BUTLER, Plaintiff B. J. Brotherton, her Attorney. Delphos, Ohio, May 5th, 1900. June 23, 1900 ENFIELD STIRNS VS. JACOB STIRNS. Jacob Stirns' wife, Mrs. Enfield Stirns, is suing him for divorce, on the grounds of cruelty and non-support. They live in the Fourth ward. AMELIA BUTLER VS. NEWTON BUTLER. Delphos woman granted divorce. "Lima Times- Democrat": Judge Cunningham held another session of court in his private office yesterday and granted a divorce to Mrs. Amelia Butler, of Delphos. Several charges were preferred against the husband, Newton Butler, chief among which was that he had failed to furnish the necessary support. Judge Cunningham, at the conclusion of the case stated that the plaintiff would be awarded a decree on general principles. August 24, 1900 Silas Cordell vs. Nancy Cordell; divorce. Petition says they were married August 14, 1894, at Van Wert. There were no children to this union. Plaintiff says he has always been a good and loving husband, but that August 6th last defendant left him without justification and started a house of prostitution. He says further that she had left him on numerous occasions, remaining away from home for weeks at a time; that she has used vile and abusive language towards him. Nancy lives in Delphos.
