R. Hughes. Divorce granted under the thirty day rule. The charge is gross neglect. July 21, 1906 Anna Brotherton vs. Cloyd J. Brotherton. Divorce granted on the grounds of gross neglect to without contest. Alimony matters were settled in private, the wife being allowed $500 for her claims. October 20, 1906 Helen Moses Loop vs. Milton A. Loop. Divorce granted and Mrs. Loop was restored to her maiden name. The husband deserted her after six months of marriage and never contributed a single dollar to her support or purchased her a garment of any kind, nor so much as contributed to the table at the home of her parents in this city. November 3, 1906 Ivy Miller vs. Rose Ammerman-Miller. Divorce granted. The sensational pleadings of Ivy Miller, the Spencerville oil operator against his wife, were proven to the satisfaction of the court in a hearing before Judge Cunningham, who granted a decree to the husband against the former Lima girl, on the grounds of infidelity. No defense was made by the defendant, whom witnesses stated was now residing in Detroit, where her mother makes her home. The matter of alimony had been previously arranged between the parties, Miller giving his $250 in lieu of alimony claims while Mrs. Miller relinquished her right to the custody of the children, who are now with their aunt, Mrs. Dellamator, a sister of Mr. Miller. December 1, 1906 Charles Mitchell vs. Anna Mitchell. Divorce granted. Plaintiff given custody of the six year old child. December 4, 1906 Ethel Eley vs. Richard Eley. Divorce granted on the grounds of gross neglect and wilful absence. December 8, 1906 John Stants vs. Irene Stants. Irene Stants is no longer the possessor of two husbands for the second husband according to the criminal courts, was granted a decree from Irene today. The woman came here from Findlay and was wed one April to John Stants, of west Kibby street. A few months later husband No. 1 arrived from Findlay and started criminal prosecution, the woman acknowledged her guilt but claimed she loved only John. Despite this she was held to the criminal court, and sentenced for bigamy, and Sants was granted a decree this morning on the grounds that she is a convict. Carrie E. Schaffer vs. Frank Schaffer. Divorce granted on the grounds of gross neglect. Tillie Wilson vs. William D. Wilson. Divorce granted on the grounds of willful absence for more than three years. December 12, 1906 Eva G. Stettler vs. Floyd S. Stettler. Married but nineteen days, when this husband "skidooed". That was the story told by the plaintiff in her suit for divorce from her missing husband. Plaintiff stated she was wed on August 2, 1905 and that her husband had deserted her on the 21st of the same month and she has not since seen him She was granted a decree on the grounds of gross neglect of duty, the missing husband never having contributed to her support.
