FORD CEMETERY

NW 1/4 Sect 2, junct of SR 545 & TR 856. This cemetery was abandoned before
1936. It marks the site of an old church built in 1830 called "Ford's Metting House" 
Before the church was built the cabin of Thomas Ford had been used for religious 
mettings. Thomas Ford donated land for this Cemetery, but he died without deeding 
to a church or Township Trustees, so the land after 100 years reverts back to the 
original land farm, since it is no longer used as  a burial ground since about 1871
and has not had care since.  Tradition tells us some may of been moved to Savannah. 
No rec.  Thomas Ford died Oct. 10, 1830 and his body was the first to be buried in
this graveyard at age 57y .

SCHREFFLER - Carharine  w/o Paul  Aug. 24, 1859  age 63y 7m 24d     
STRATTON - Valeriah  d/o Daniel & Mary  died Nov. 5, 1839  age 19y     
TREAKLE - Christopher f/o Elizabeth settled at Fort of Jeromesville , Ohio 1807
          and is buried in Jeromesville Meth. Cemetery . This is according to Mrs.
          Amy Wright family bible.     
WRIGHT - Elizabeth  married a Cornish & moved to Ill.
