It has come to my attention that the 'HISTORY OF OHIO" by the American
Historical Society Inc. 1925 Volume IV Page 274 contains incorrect
information.

It reads that the second wife of William Crockett of Ashtabula Co., OH was
Sallie Caldwell from PA. This information is incorrect.

It should read that the second wife of William CROCKETT from Crawford Co., 
PA was Sally Ann CADWELL (Cole) widow of Ahira COLE who was the son of Ezra 
COLE and Mercy HADLOCK who arrived from Cayuga Co., NY. about 1826.  Sally 
Ann CADWELL was born in Farmington, Hartford Co., CT in 1814 and came to 
Ashtabula Co., Ohio in 1822 with her parents Horace and Sally CADWELL who 
are both buried in Pandanaram Cemetery in Ohio. The CADWELL family was well 
represented in Hartford Co., CT from the mid 1600's and intermarried into 
many of the founding families.
