DEATH OF A RETIRED MINISTER
Rev. L. Andress, a retired minister of this city, died at his home about 
midnight Monday night, on South Broadway. (Geneva)Mr. Andress was born in 
Smithfield, Shenango County, New York state, March 10th, 1810. He was pastor 
of the Baptist church here from 1856 when he accepted a parsonage in some 
other place but returned and again was pastor for one year. The cause of death 
was kidney trouble, and as he was nearly 89 years of age, it hastened his 
death. He leaves three sons and four daughters to mourn his death.
