CLARA BOLARD DIES Had resided in this section 60 years One of Ashtabula County's oldest residents, Mrs. Clara Bolard, died at 5:30 pm Wednesday at her home on Plymouth Ridge. Mrs. Bolard would have been 96 years old had she lived until next March 4. Mrs. Bolard's illness had covered a period of more than 2 1/2 years, following a paralytic stroke. She was born March 4, 1839, near Cuba, Alleghaney county, New York, the daughter of Jacob and Mary Johnson. The family later moved to Conneautville, Crawford County, PA. It was in that city that Clara Johnson married Eli Bolard. They came to Ashtabula about 60 years ago. Two years later Mr. Bolard died. Two of three children survive Mrs. Bolard. They are W. H. Bolard of this city and Mrs. Myra Bolard Williams with whom Mrs. Bolard had made her home for the past 30 years. The following grandchildren also survive; E. H. Williams, Bernard and George Williams and Mrs. Clyde Corey of Bellevue ,OH, Mrs. Stephen Luce, Starke-av, this city, Lyle and Myron Williams, Mrs. Lawrence Martin, Miss Amber Williams and Mrs. D. A. Williams of Ashtabula. A sister Myra Able, preceded Mrs. Bolard in death at the age of 99. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Friday, at the Leo D. Brown Funeral Home, Prospect-rd. Rev. Walter Mansell, pastor of the Church of Christ, of which Mrs. Bolard was a member, officiating. Burial will be in Chestnut Grove cemetery.
