He was born Dec. 19th 1819, at North Stonington, Conn.; when a young man he moved to New York where he was married to Miss Caroline Hartson, Nov. 16th 1846. He was a member of the Baptist church and filled the office as deacon. Nov. 15 1859, he moved to Richmond Centre, and has been a resident of this place for 32 years. He came when the place was a wilderness, and has lived to see that cleared away and a great many changes. He was a very kind man and many people, especially the poor, will long remember with kindness, for he was ready to help in time of need. His funeral was held Wednesday in the Baptist church; Rev. Prentice officiating. He leaves a wife and two daughters to mourn the loss of a kind husband and father. Additional Comments: Norris first name may be either a misprint or actual given name.
