OLDEST RESIDENT IN THE COUNTY
Dies at Richmond
Caroline Hartson was born at New London, Conn. Feb 11, 1811.  When but seven 
years old she came with her parents to Norwich, Chenango New York, where in 
1846 she was married to Noyes Gray making Oxford, New York their home	until 
1859. She came to Ohio and settled at Richmond and has ever since (for 49 
years) made that her home. Her husband died in 1891. Of her three children, 
Francis died in 1839; Agnes in 1907, the remaining daughter, Mrs. Lowell Morse 
and three brothers still survive her. She died April 2nd 1908 at the advanced 
age of 97 years 1 month, 17 days. 
Funeral services were conducted at ----------------------------
