Obituary Royal E. Morse
Royal E. Morse, 80, died at 3:30p.m. Saturday at the home of his son, Francis 
L. Morse, 2813 South Ridge West, with whom he made his home.
Born in Richmond Center, Ohio, May 26, 1879, Mr. Morse was the son of Lowell 
and Alice Gray Morse. He had been a resident of Ashtabula for the past 37 
years and a life time resident of this area.
He had been employed by American Fork and Hoe Co. for 26 years, and later as 
representative of the Rural New Yorker farm magazine for this area.
Besides his son, Francis, he is survived by six other sons, Merton of Perry, 
Donald V., Lynn H., Howard L., Robert C., and Dana E., All of Ashtabula; one 
daughter, Mrs. George (Dorothy) Eadon, of Mentor; 24 grandchildren, and four 
great grandchildren.
The family had gathered four days before Mr. Morse’s death to observe his 80th 
birthday.
Mr. Morse was preceded in death by a daughter and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Richmond-Ross Funeral Home. The 
REV. Hubert Cobb, pastor of the Saybrook Methodist Church, will officiate.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 tonight.

Services Are Held 
For Royal E. Morse
Funeral services for Royal. E. Morse, 80, who died Saturday at the home of 
his  son, Francis , 2813 South Ridge West, were held Tuesday at the Richmond-
Ross Funeral Home.
The Rev. Hubert Cobb, of the Saybrook Methodist Church, officiated. Cremation 
followed in Cleveland.
