DEATH OF BARNETT PENNELL

Barnett Pennell, aged 81 years, passed away Thursday morning about 4 o'clock at 
his home in Troy township.  The infimities attendant upon old age were the cause
of his death.  Mr. Pennell was a veteran of the Civil war and was formerly a 
resident of the vicinity of Guys Mills, having removed to the farm upon which 
he passed away about one year ago.  Besides the widow, deceased is survived by 
four sons and one daughter.

Funeral services will be conducted from the home on Route 8_, near Fauncetown, 
and about one and one-half miles from Chapmanville at 2 o'clock this afternoon.
Interment will be made in the Chapmanville cemetery.
