LOUIS SCHMALTZ, 79, DIED MONDAY

Louis Schmaltz was a resident of Jefferson Township for the past 40 years.  He 
died at his home northeast of town.

Born at Hessville, Ohio, August 12, 1867, he married Anna Rose Smith in 1896.  
He was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Ashtabula.

He is survived by his wife and seven children, Rupert of Lenox; Harry, at 
home; Mrs. Mildred Anderson, Ashtabula; Mrs. Hazel Sanderson, Geneva; Mrs. 
Esther Gronett, Cleveland; Mrs. Elsie Graham, Dorset; and Mrs. Bertha Halleen, 
Niagara Falls, NY.  A brother, Henry Schmaltz, Hessville and two sisters, Mrs. 
Emma Brubaker and Mrs. Elizabeth Beckman, both of Fremont, also survive.

Funeral services will be handled by Miller Funeral Home.  Burial will be in 
Oakdale cemetery.
