He was born in the township of Saybrook, Ashtabula County, Ohio, January 1, 1823, so that he reached the age of 70 years, 8 months and 12 days. Mrs. Wright married to Elizabeth Johnson of Kingsville, Nov. 20, 1846. In January the following they settled in Kingsville, where they lived during the remainder of ther married life. Mr. and Mrs. Wright lived in happy wedlock over 46 years. To them were born six children; two sons and four daughters. One of the daughters preceded the father to the spirit land. Mrs. Wright was an earnest Christain, a worthy citizen, and universally esteemed in the community. He was a member of the Presbyterian church, and very faithful and active in his christain duties. Thpigh greatly afflicted for years, it was very seldom that he was absent from the house of God, or from the weekly prayer meeting. He was loyal to his church and pastor but free from sectarian bigotry and narrowness. He had a warm heart toward all christians, no matter to what ecclesiastical fold they belonged. Mr. Wright's influence for good will be felt for many years to come. We may say of him as was said of Abel "he being dead, yet speaketh".
