Genealogical Society Written: August 15 1892 In the Name of the Beloved Father of All: Amen. I, Henry Strickland, of the Township of Kingsville, County of Ashtabula and State of Ohio, being about seventy-three years of age, and being of sound and disposing mind and memory, Do Make, Publish and Declare this my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making null and void all other Last Wills and Testaments by me made heretofore: First: - My Will is that all my just Debts and Funeral Expenses shall be paid out of my Estate, as soon after my decease as shall be found convenient. Second: - I Give, Devise and Bequeath to my sister Mary S. Morley one thousand dollars Third: - To my brother Jeremy Strickland one thousand dollars. Fourth: - To my brother Wesley Strickland two hundred dollars. Fifth: - To my niece Eva M. Strickland fifteen hundred dollars. Sixth: - To my nephew Wade B. Strickland one thousand dollars. Seventh: - To my niece Katie E. Strickland one thousand dollars. Eighth: - In case there should be a balance left belonging to my Estate after the payment of all of my just debts and funeral expenses, and the legacies mentioned in Items Second, Third Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and Seventh, it is my will that such balance or remainder be paid to and distributed among the Legatees mentioned in said Items Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and Seventh, of this my Last Will and Testament prorata. Ninth: - Having on or about the 21st day of June 1892, paid and turned over to my wife Lydia G. Strickland eight thousand three hundred and fifty dollars worth of personal property, and conveyed by deed real estate to her in fee simple of the value of one thousand dollars or more to her full satisfaction in lieu of her right of dower, and any and all right or rights which she may or might have under the laws of the State of Ohio as my widow (in case she survives me), in any and all property of every nature and kind, of which I may die siezed and possessed of, and which may belong to my estate at the time of my death; Wherefore I do give, devise, and bequeath to my said wife Lydia G. Strickland nothing in this my Last Will and Testament. Tenth: - I do hereby nominate and appoint John Jones of South Kingsville, Ashtabula County, Ohio, Executor of this my Last Will and Testament. In Testimony Whereof, I have set my hand to this, my Last Will and Testament, at Ashtabula Ohio, this fifteenth day of August, in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety Two.
