I, Jeremy D. Strickland of the township of Andover, County of Ashtabula and State of Ohio, being of sound mind and memory do hereby revoke and wholly annul all former wills and codicils to wills made by me and I do make and publish this my last will and testament. Item: First. It is my desire and I hereby direct that all my honest debts be first paid out of my personal estate. Item: Second. I hereby will, give, grant, and bequeath to my beloved wife Leonora H. Strickland during her life all the rents, profits, and the entire use and control of all the real estate of which I may die seized, and I devise to her a life estate in said real estate to terminate with her life. I also give, grant, and bequeath to my said wife the entire use, control, rents, profits, and benefits of the use of all personal property during her life, including all notes, claims, and demands, and cases in action, and it is my desire and I hereby authorized her to dispose of any of said personal property and reinvest the same as she may deem for the best interest of the estate and she may collect any and all claims, notes, and demands and reinvest the same and in the event she desires for her support more than the rents, profits and use of said real estate, and the rents, profits, and use of said personal property and interest in claims for her support and comfort, then I hereby give, grant, and devise to her the right to sell any of said personal property and use the same for her comfort and support during her life. But it is my desire and I hereby disclose that the provision for my said wife is to be in lieu of and to cut off all claim to a years support and right to dower in said real estate and all other allowances under the statutes of Ohio. Item. Third. I hereby give, grant, and bequeath to my beloved daughters Mary E. Strickland and Nellie I. Strickland, at the death of my beloved wife, all my real estate in fee simple to be equally divided between them, and I also give and bequeath to them all the personal property rights, claims, and cases in action which may belong to my estate at and after the decease of my said wife, to be also equally divided between them. I hereby nominate and appoint my beloved wife Leonora H. Strickland executrix upon my estate and I hereby authorize and empower her to settle, compromise, and adjust all claims and collect the same as she may deem best and I desire that no appraisement or sale be made of any of my property, and I hereby request the court to direct that the same be omitted in [illegible] of the statute. Strickland Application to Admit to Probate Deceased To the Probate Court of Said County: Your petitioner respectfully represents that Jeremy D. Strickland, late a resident of the township of Andover in said County, died on or about the 2nd day of October, A.D. 1911, leaving an instrument in writing, herewith produced, purporting to be his last Will and Testament. That the said Jeremy D. Strickland died leaving Leonora H. Strickland his widow who resides at Andover, and the following named persons his only next of kin, to-wit: Name Degree of Kinship P.O. Personally appeared in open Court Fred Williams who being first duly sworn to testify to the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, in the matter of the Will of Jeremy D. Strickland deceased, deposes and says, that G. W. Stevens whose name appears as one of the subscribing witnesses to the Last Will and Testament of Jeremy D. Strickland deceased, hereunto annexed, as, since the date of the said Will, December 5th, 1885, deceased; that I am well acquainted with the handwriting and signature of said deceased witness, and that the signature of said G. W. Stevens purporting to be his, as one of the subscribing witnesses to said Will, is the true and genuine signature of the said deceased witness G. W. Stevens.
