To have and to hold the said devised premises during the term of her natural life. I also give and bequeath to my said wife Abigail all my household furniture and wearing apparel, provisions for one year together with one third of all my other personal property. Second – I give and devise to my sons Warren and Edwin Strickland, on condition that they shall within three years from the time of my decease pay to my son Bidwell Strickland, in {?}, leather, and {?} stock at cash value the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars – my sawmill in said Andover and the mill yard as now occupied and all privileges appertaining thereunto – each an equal share – and their heirs and assigns forever. Third, I give and devise to my daughter Ellis Root ten acres of land in said Andover bounded east by the west line of the farm on which I now live and west by a line running south from the southwest corner of land formerly deeded by me to the said Ellis Root and extending far enough south to include the said ten acres of land; likewise a small strip of land lying between land of David Parker and land formerly deeded by me to said Ellis Root and to her heirs and assigns forever. Fourth, I give and bequeath and devise to my son Jeremy Strickland swamp (?) lot No. twenty-six lying in the east half of original lot No. forty-two in said Andover and also ten acres of land in the west part of the farm on which I now live and bounded as follows: Beginning on the east line of land on which S.S. Enos now lives and four rods of said Enos southeast corner ; thence east three rods; thence first south and then west to my west line so as to contain ten acres of land; and to his heirs and assigns forever. Fifth, I give and devise to my son Warren Strickland thirty-five acres of land, Viz., swamp (?) lot Number nineteen in the east half of original lot number forty-three in said Andover, and to his heirs and assigns forever. And of all my real estate not herein before disposed of or devised and all remainders I direct as follows – that my said estate shall be divided into six parts or lots of equal value, one of which I devise and bequeath to my daughter Mary Strickland and one each to my sons Peter Strickland, Henry Strickland and Edwin Strickland and Wesley Strickland; and one part or lot as aforesaid to be equally divided between my son Wheeler Strickland and my daughter Amelia Strickland , to them and their heirs and assigns forever. And so much of my personal property as remains after payment of my debts, and which is not herein before disposed of, I give to the aforesaid Mary, Peter, Henry, Edwin, Wesley, Wheeler and Amelia, to each an equal share. And lastly I hereby constitute and appoint my son Warren Strickland and William Brigden {?} of Andover aforesaid to be the executors of this my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I have set my hand and seal this second day of October in the year of Our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and thirty-six.
