Athens County OhArchives Cemeteries.....Pine Hill Cemetery - Partial Survey No More To Come ************************************************ Copyright. All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/oh/ohfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Elaine Burrell eb1@doren.net March 2, 2008, 1:36 pm Abstracted By: Elaine Burrell, 9 July, 2003 Stewart, Rome Twp., Athens County, Ohio This cemetery is located on the top of a very steep hill, near Stewart, Ohio. This cemetery is accessable only by a very steep footpath that was marked by a boy scout troop, so I think that only a few people will ever see these. This cemetery is also known as Civil War Cemetery. Very few of the markers can be read. The rows are not really apparent, the graves were dug into sandstone at the top of this hill and apparently most of the stones were sandstone which are now gone. The cemetery is located in Range 12, Township 6, Section 23.
