BOUDINOT. Copied from In Memoriam in Possesion of Chris Evans as of 1/2/1999 We are brought together on this sad occasion to part with one of our dear ones, for a while, whom God has called from our home. Theodore h. Boudinot, second son of Tobias and Elizabeth Boudinot, was born in Millfield, Ohio. On August 7, 1852. His spirit gently took its flight on the morning of July 27, 1931, a mission of 78 years, 11 months and 27 days. He was united in marriage to Lenora Birge, at Chauncey, on September 28, 1873. To this union four sons were born; Marcellus, Gilbert, Orley and Fletcher. Orley died at the age of four years. After the death of his first wife , he was married to Susan Hill, June 26, 1889. One son, Harry, was born who died in infancy. After the death of his second wife he was united in marriiage the third time to Lola Linscott at Hoopers Ridge. To this union three sons and three daughters came to bless their home. His health had been failing for over four years, but he bore it patiently. In his friendship he was true, as a husband he waasd affectionatte and kind, a devoted, loving father, and it is in these relations that he will be most grievously missed. "Dode", as all his friends knew him, lived a life of toil and industry, laboring for the benefit of others rather than himself. Now that life's fitful scenes are over, we believe it will be said unto him, "Well done, good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joys of the Lord." Besides the widow, he leaves to mourn their loss, six sons and three daughters: Marcellus of Bucyrus, Gilbert of Amesville, Fletcher of Millfield, Carlos of Amanda, Sidney of Sunbury, Clifford of Sugar Creek, and Mrs. T.M. Kierns of Amesville, Mrs. Ralph McKibben of Sugar Creek, and Mrs. Williard Skinner of Galena. One brother C.H. Boudinot, of Millfield, twenty six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends are also left. "What is home without our father? Oh, "tis hard for us to bear, But we left it all with Jesus, Thous didst call him and was fair. Beneath our eyes he faded slowly, growing day by day more frail, Bearing sweetly all his suffering Without murmur , moan or wail. Once more a treasured father Has gone to dwell above, to be with his creator Where all is peace and love. Yes, one more soul has anchored Safe on that heavenly shore, Where pain can never enter, Where partings are no more. Around the family circle, We see a vacant chair. There is none on earth can fill it, As did our father dear. Hearts are bleeding, sad and lonely As we look about the place, Many friends are gathered near us But there's missing one dear face. This was in a Boudint file in Archieves of Ohio U. in Athens, Ohio. ==== OH-FOOTSTEPS Mailing List ====
