Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Carbon Hill Christian Church. Burial at Carbon Hill. 3-9-1922 John Bartoe - Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Carbon Hill Church conducted by Rev. Kemper for John J. Bartoe, 85 years, who passed away Monday morning. He was a civil war veteran and was the son of the late Amos Bartoe.. He left one son, four daughters, four brothers and one sister. 10-19-1920 Michael Bartoe - Michael Bartoe, 33, died at his house near Carbon Hill early this morning. He is survived by the wife and two children. Funeral arrangements have not been completed. 7-6-1922 Gladys Bash - Mrs. Gladys "Happy" Bash wife of Herbert Bash died July fourth at the Lancaster camp grounds where Mr. and Mrs. Bash had gone from their Columbus home. Mrs. Bash had been ill with tuberculosis for several years. Possibly no girl on the campus had a wider circle of friends than did "Happy Vaughn" as she was best known during her college days. She graduated from Ohio university in Public School music and was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. Her parents who survive are residents of Columbus. Mr. Bash also a graduate of Ohio university was prominent in athletics at Ohio and has coached with prounounced success in Columbus where he teaches in the South High School of that city. He is a member of Sigma Pi fraternity. Mr. and Mrs. Bash graduated from Ohio university in 1917 and their marriage followed the commencement ceremonies. 6-30-1921 Noami Bass - Young Girl Passes Away - Naomi Bass aged 13 years and only child of Mr. and Mrs. J. Bass passed away last evening at her home on Koniner Street after an illness of several weeks with heart trouble. Naomi had never been a very robust child but in her last illness she bore her suffering without a complaint and was always cheerful. Naomi was one of the best liked little girls at the Methodist church of which she was a faithful member as well as all the subordinate junior societies of the church. She was born and reared in this city and was a great favorite of all who knew her. Her death has caused grief all over the city and the sympathy goes out to the parents in the loss of their only child. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock conducted by the pastor Rev. Paul E. Kemper. 7-2-1921 Naomi Bass - Large Funeral - The Methodist church was filled yesterday by friends and relatvies to pay their tribute of love to the memory of Naomi Bass. A wealth of beautiful flowers told of her many friends. Rev. Kemper who was with her much during her last illness conducted the service. The body was laid to rest at Greenlawn. 10-27-1920 Emma Bateman - Miss Emma Bateman, aged 17 years daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Bateman died at the family residence in Mason City Hill Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock after a five week's illness from a nervous breakdown. No arrangements have yet been made for the funeral service. *Note- the age on here could be 27 it's very hard to read 1-24-1923 Infant Bateman - The infant chld of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bateman of Franklin street who died Monday was buried on Tuesday at Greenlawn. 1-24-1923 Margaret Bateman - Former Nelsonville Woman Passes - Mrs. Margaret Bateman, aged 78 years died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alice Wyskiver at Haydenville. Mrs. Bateman was a former resident of Nelsonville and is well known here. Funeral services will be held at the Logan Methodist Church Thursday afternoon at one o'clock. Burial will be made at Logan.
