Athens Messenger

Funeral services are planned Wednesday afternoon for Charles L. Goldsberry, 88,
Shade, who died Monday morning in Sheltering Arms Hospital. He had been in ill
health for the past year.  Lifelong Athens County resident, son of he late John
and Phoebe Goldsberry, he was the last of a family of six children. He was a
retired farmer and member of Mt. Zion United Brethren Church.  Survivors include
his wife Capitolia; a son, Frank, of Columbus, seven daughters, Mrs: Allen
Weatherby, Athens, Mrs: Virgil C. Butts, Croton; Mrs. Aldeau Barnhill, Columbus;
Mrs. Paul Potter, Centerburg; Mrs. Sephen Stevenson, Gardenia, Calif; Mrs, Ward
Cunningham, Guysville, and Mrs. Harold Smith, Zanesville.  Several
grandchildren, great-grand-children also survive. Another son,Adrian, and
another daughter, Mrs. Edward Jewel, died previously. Friends may call at the
Hughes funeral home, where Wednesday services will be held. Burial will be at
Mt. Zion Cemetery, Shade, Ohio
