ALMOST A CENTENARIAN
Mrs. Frances Charlotte Munyon of Forbes, Mo., Died Today at age of Ninety-Six.

Mrs. Frances Charlotte Munyon, ninety-six years old, a resident of Forbes, Mo., 
died at 12:15 o'clock this afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Susan 
Strickland, 1616 Highland Avenue.  Mrs. Munyon came to St. Joseph two weeks ago 
to visit her daughter, and two days after arriving here, became ill.
Death was due to her advanced age.
Mrs. Munyon was born at Dayton, Ohio. She had lived in the vicinity of Forbes 
most of her life.  She was the widow of Edmond Munyon.
Besides the daughter at whose home she died, she is survived by two other 
daughters, Mrs. Mary Mohn, Buffalo, Ill., Mrs. Hester Phillips, Lake Fork, 
Ill., and two sons, Henry Munyon, Lake Fork and Albert Munyon, Forest City, Mo.
The body will be taken to the homes at Forbes tomorrow for burial.

Additional Comments:
Frances Carlotta "Charlotte" (Coats) Munyon was b. 21 Nov 1827. (NOTE: She said 
Dayton, OH, but more likely in Athens Co. OH). She was the daughter of James 
Mataito and Mary (Fierce) Coats of Athens Co. OH.
Frances married 28 Aug 1846, Athens Co. OH., Edward Munyon, b. 7 Nov 1818, VA 
or OH. He died of pneumonia ca 1890 near Curzon, MO.
Ed and Frances are my G.G. Grandparents. I descend from their daughter Hester 
Ann Munyon, b. 14 Apr 1857, Athens Co. OH., died 9 May 1930, Logan Co. IL. 
Hester married 17 July 1871, Logan Co. IL Augustus "Gus" Phillips.
