He was born June 25,1892 at Melrose,son of Samuel W. and Sarah Emmal McCullough. In 1913 He married Teresa Rose Slattery Of Broughton, who died in 1953. In 1960 he married Lurie Hasch who died in 1972. He attended school at the You Be Dan and Melrose grade schools. He served as councilman at Melrose for several terms and as a judge at the election precint of Melrose. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. He had been employed at the Central Foundry Divisonof the General Motors Corporation of Defiance for 10 years,retiring in 1966. He formerly was employed by the state highway dept,the Lima tank Depotand was a farmer and hay buyer. Surviving are his four daughters, Mrs. Inella Finnegan of Rt 1 paulding,Mrs John (Martha)Traxler of Boca Raton,Fla.,Mrs. Methal Aldrich of Grover Hill and Mrs. Tom (June)Brown of Melrose;three sons,Warrenof Melrose,Robertof Route 1,Oakwood,and Harold of Oakwood;24 grandchildren;30 great grandchildren;and four great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons,Wayne and Gerald;a daughter Maxine;five brothers,Hiram,Homer,Luther,Alfred and Fielding;and a sister Bell McCullough. Services are scheduled for 2 pm Tuesday at the Taylor Funeral Home Oakwood. Rev Marc Wolff will officiate. Burial will be in the Little Auglaize Cemetary near melrose. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 pm Sunday,all day Monday and until the service Tuesday.memorial contributions may be made to the Paulding County Visiting Nurses Association.
