There was this listing in History of Hocking Valley Ohio, pub. 1883 for a George S. Anderson. He had a total of 15 children but unfortunatly it doesn't list their names. If your Elizabeth was in the same area as George, it may be possible this was her father. --------- GEORGE S. ANDERSON was born in Belmont County, Ohio, Nov. 11, 1811, where he lived till he was sixteen year s of age. In 1827 he went with his father to Guernsey County. When he was eighteen years of age his father died, and, being the eldest son, the care of his widowed mother and the management of the farm devolved on him, which duty he performed faithfully until his mother's death. He was married June 6, 1833, to Sarah Smith, a daughter of English parents. They had twelve children, all of whom lived to be men and women, and ten still survive. His wife died Sept. 17, 1870. He was again married July 3, 1871, to Amanda Beal, a native of Ohio. They have three children. He is a member of the Universalist church, and his wife a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. Mr. Anderson has held many local offices of trust, having held the office of Township Trustee for thirteen years, and the office of Justice of the Peace for nine years. He came to Ames Township, Athens County, in 1873. p. 516 ---------
