Military Record
Enlisted as a Substitute for Phelander C Ayers of Bever Twp, Noble Co on 8th 
of October 1864 for a period of one year at Urichsville, Ohio.  Mustered out at
San Antonio, Texas 16th October 1865 by reason of expiration of term of service.

Additional Comments:
Silas was given a note to the value of $500 for taking the place of P.C Ayers 
in the Army for one year.
