The marriage of Mr. Tascar K. Gregory and Miss Emma Conrow was consummated on the evening of the second at five o’clock by Rev. R. Alexander, of St. Clairsville, Ohio. There was a murmur of admiration as the beautiful Emma was led to the altar by the gentleman she had chosen for her life-partner – then a solemn stillness – the holy rites – the clear responses – the prayer, and two souls had embarked as one upon life’s ocean. The lights dimmed and quivered for an instant, as the name of Emma Conrow was obliterated, then flashed with renewed brilliancy as she assumed the holy relation of wife and the name of another. The bride wore a dress of fine white texture, cut low with flowing sleeves and train. Her hair was adorned with flowers, and upon her bosom a tiny cross, which fastened a necklace of gold.
