Golden Wedding- On Thursday, January 1st, our worthy fellow-citizens, John 
Jepson and Lady, celebrated their fiftieth wedding day.  They were married in 
England, January 1st, 1824.  By invitation a number of friends were present to 
celebrate the event .  At 7 o’clock the company, numbering some twenty persons 
sat down to a fine entertainment.  (description of evening continues)

the bride’s parents, near New Athens, Ohio, Mr. Joseph McKee and Miss Martha 
J. Watson, the former of Harrison and the latter of Belmont County, Ohio.

  The marriage of W.L. Patton, Esq. to Miss Maggie R. McNary, daughter of Mr. 
John McNary, was solemnized at 12 o’clock yesterday at the residence of the 
bride, near Easst richland.  Prof. Campbell of New Athens, officiating.  The 
happy pair started in the evening to Pana, Ill., where they expect to remain 
for a couple of weeks.

  A novel and interesting wedding took place in Bridgeport of Wednesday 
evening of last week.  It was the marriage of two deaf mutes. Elbert T. 
Redington, Esq., of Elyria, to Miss Maggie A. Robinson, daughter of W.H. 
Robinson, Esq., of Bridgeport.  The ceremony was conducted in a beautiful and 
impressive manner in the mute language, by Dr. Geo. O. Fay, Superintendent of 
the Ohio Institute for Deaf and Dumb, at Columbus.

Neatly designed cards bearing the following: “Mr. J.P. Lowe requests the 
pleasure of your presence at the marriage ceremony of his daughter on Thursday 
evening Dec. 24th, 1874, at 8 o’clock,” distributed among quite a large number 
of the friends of the interested parties, brought together at the appointed 
hour at our magnificent infirmary, over which the genial host presides, one of 
the most agreeable and brilliant companies which has graced any occasion in 
this vicinity for years, to witness the ceremony that was to unite Mr. T.J. 
Woodmansee and Miss Sallie V. Lowe in the bonds of wedlock.  (the description 
of the wedding continues at length)

Chase. Shoemaker, Jr., became a Benedict on Thursday, by taking unto himself a 
wife –Miss Caroline Snyder.  Rev. First, of the Lutheran Church, officiated.
