Thomas, my great-great grandfather, was born in Kilgever, County Mayo, Ireland
sometime between 1818-1825. He left Ireland with his wife Sarah McDonough and
infant daughter Annie about 1853, and had settled in Bellaire, Ohio by 1870,
where he spent the rest of his life. He died in 1912 at an advanced age. He took
a walk one evening while visiting his son in Martins Ferry, sat down on the curb
to rest, and just passed on.
