The following came from "Beer's History of Brown County Ohio" page 559, it
says:" Vincent Brown was born in Ky. in 1786. He came to Pike Twp. in 1801
& was married soon after his arrival here to Martha Ann Allen, thus being
the first md ceremony performed in the twp.  He resided for a number of
years on the old Brown homestead Prior to his death, Jan. 7, 1853.(now
,1883 in the possession of the heirs of Elliot Brown)... Martha Ann Allen
was born in KY.  1793 and died at the old homestead Oct. 17, 1857."
