All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/oh/ohfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Linda Deppner http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00012.html#0002870 October 7, 2010, 12:20 pm Written: July 30, 1828 Recorded: September 3, 1828 Brown County, Ohio Deed Book F6, pages 521-522 Alexander to Alexander This Indenture made this thirtieth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight Between John Alexander Sen'r. and Jennet his wife of the County of Brown and State of Ohio of the one part and William Alexander of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Alexander Sen'r. and Jennet his wife for and in consideration of the sum of Five hundred dollars to them in hand paid the receipt of which they do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained sold aliened and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien and confirm unto the said William Alexander his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County aforesaid situate on the west fork of Brush creek being part of a thousand acre tract entered on a Millitary warrant No. 2287 deeded to David Harbison by Abraham Hite assignee of Jacob Coleman and described as follows to wit Begining at a Stake and two dogwoods saplings in the original north boundary line, thence with said line south sixty six East one hundred and thirty poles to a Stake and two dogwood Saplings in the original line, thence South twenty three west one hundred and ninety poles to three hickories and a Dogwood corner to Andrew Alexander's lot thence with his lot on the division line North sixty six and one fourth west sixty eight poles to a Stone thence South fifty one and a half west thirty nine poles to a Stone thence North forty two and a half west forty nine poles to a Stone thence North twenty three East two hundred and three poles passing a Stone corner to Andrew Alexander at nine poles to the begining, containing one hundred and sixty two acres be the same more or less. Together with all improvements and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any way appertaining, To have and to hold the lands hereby conveyed with all and singular the premises unto the said William Alexander his heirs and assigns forever and the said John Alexander Sen'r. and Jennet his wife and their heirs executors administrators do covenant promise and agree to and with the said William Alexander his heirs and assigns by these presents that the premises before mentioned now are and forever hereafter shall remain free of and from all former gifts, grants, bargains sales, dower right and title of dower Judgments and imcumbrances whatsoever done or suffered to be done by them or either of them, and the said John Alexander Sen'r. and Jennet his wife and their heirs all and singular the premises hereby bargained and sold with the appurtenances unto the said William Alexander his heirs and assigns against them the said John Alexander Sen'r. and Jennet his wife and their heirs and all and every other person or persons do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In witness whereof they the said John Alexander Sen'r. and Jennet his wife have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above writen. Also at the same time came Jennet his wife who being by me examined separate and aprt from her said husband declared that she signed sealed and as her act and deed delivered the same freely voluntarily and of her own accord without any coertion or compultion of her said husband for the purposes therein mentioned.
