Witnesseth that the Said Russel Shaw and Joanna his wife for and in consideration of the sum of ?? dollar & cents current money of the United States of American to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and forever acquit and discharge the said James Alexander his heirs and assigns executors Administrators hath granted bargained Sold aliened confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain Sell alien and confirm unto the said James Alexander his heirs and assigns forever in lot No. 33 as marked or numbered on the town plat of the town of Russellville and Recorded in the Recorders office for the County of Adams and State of Ohio, being sixty six feet front and one hundred and thirty feet back. Together with all improvements watercourses and appertenances whatsoever to the premises belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversing remainder or profits thereof and all the estate right title interest property claim and demand of them the said Russel Shaw and Joanna his wife of in and to the same. To have and to hold the lot hereby conveyed with all and singular the premises and every part and parcell thereof with any of the appertenances unto the said James Alexander his heirs and assigns forever to the only proper use and behoof him the said James Alexander his heirs & assigns forever and the Said Russel Shaw and Joanna his wife for themselves their heirs executors and administrators doth covenant promise and agree to and with the Said James Alexander his heirs and assigns by these presents the the premises before mentioned now are and forever hereafter shall remain free from all former and other gifts grants bargains Sales dowers right and title of dower Judgements titles troubles charges and incumbrances whatsoever done or suffered to be done by them the said Russel Shaw and the said wife of Russel Shaw and Johannah his wife their heirs all and Singular the premises hereby bargained and Sold with the appertenances unto the Said James Alexander his heirs and assigns against them the Said Russel Shaw and Joannah his wife and their heirs and all and every other person or persons whatever doth and will warrant and Defend forever by these presents. In Testimony whereof they the said Russel Shaw & Johanna his wife hath hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written. Russel Shaw (Seal) James Shreve (Seal) [that's what it says] Signed Sealed and Delivered in presents of us James Moore Arthur OHarra The State of Ohio, Brown County, SS Appeared before me the Subscriber and Associate Judge in and for the County aforesaid the within named Russel Shaw and did acknowledge the within signing and Sealing to be his act and Deed for the purpose therein mentioned. Also at the same time appeared Joannah Shaw wife of the Sd. Russell Shaw being separate and apart from her Sd. husband I made known to her the full contents of the within conveyance and she did and now doth acknowledge the within signing and selling to be her act and deed without any fear or coercion of her Said husband.
