She was married to Christian Simon, October 4, 1832. They resided in Brown County until May, 1843, then settling in Iowa on the place where she died in Farmers Creek township, Jackson county, Iowa, January 6, 1894. Mr. Simon died 28 years ago. Mrs. Simon was the mother of six children, two sons and four daughters, five of whom are still living, Mrs. Elizabeth Barkley, Mrs. Cordelia A. Carter, Mrs. Rebecca C. Morse, Mrs. Henrietta A. Garretson and John Simon. Funeral services were held at the Maple Grove School House, led by Elder T. Hillock of the Christian church. Interment was made at the Jackson grave yard.
