Evans and Josia Drake the subscribing exclusive thereto which will together with the proof thereof and ordered to be recorded which will & proof are in the words and figures following to wit: "I William Lyon of the County of Brown and the state of Ohio being in a sick and low condition of body but of sound memory & mind do make and ordain this as my last will and testament in the disposal of my property. First I give and bequeath to my well beloved wife Anna Lynn that farm I own lying across the big run from where she now lives and joining lines with Daniel Ellis (unreadable) Davis and John B. Evans. 2nd I give and bequeath to my said wife that farm I own joining lines with James Lindum Benjamin Dugan & Walter Wall. Sarah (unreadable) that lives in said last mentioned farm is not to be molested until the first of March next and is to have it for the same rent as formerly. 3rd I likewise give and bequeath to my said wife a lot I own in the town of (unreadable) lying on the Ohio River in the state of Kentucky known on the plat of said town as number (maybe seventy three) all this land I give to my said wife during her natural life. 4th I give to the same a note of hand I hold in (unreadable & unreadable) for two hundred and twenty dollars. 5th I give and bequeath to the same two cows a brindle one and a white faced one. I give to the same two horses (unreadable) Catharine and a young horse to the same twenty head of sheep, 2 pigs to the same one half of the money which shall be got for the beef cattle sold this summer. I likewise give to my said wife Anna Lynn all my household furniture. (unreadable unreadable) a bureau and bookcases I leave all the property to my said wife to be disposed of by her as she things best. 6th I likewise give and bequeath to my beloved son Robert Lyon one hundred and sixty five dollars on a note I hold on (unreadable) and others. & give to the same Mary's bureau & bookcases. 7th I likewise give to Sally McKinney and Ann (unreadable) fifteen dollars each. 8" I likewise give to Jacksen (unreadable) and Ryan Dowdy ten dollars each. Lastly I appoint and ordain my son Robert Lyon and John B. Evans to be the executors of this my last will and testament in witness whereof I do hereunto set my hand and seal this 4th day of May in the year of our Lord 1837. Evans & Josiah Drake subscribing witnesses to the last will and testament of Wm Lyon late of said county dec/d who being duly sworn according to law deposeth and saith that they were present when said William Lyon sealed and subscribed said last will & testament that said deponents subscribed their names as witnesses to said last will and testament in the presence at the request of said testator that he in the presence of said witnesses declared the same to be his last will and testament and at that time of signing and sealing the same said Testator was of sound mind and memory under no constraint and over twenty one years of age.
