Price President Judge of the tenth judicial circuit of the state of Ohio, David Johnson. Hugh B. Pay? and Benjamin Evans esquires associate judges of the Court of Common Pleas in and for Brown County at the term of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty six. Brown County JS Be is remembered that on the first day of August in the year one thousand eight hundred and thirty six the last will and testament of L. Rounds decd. was produced in open court and proved by the (unreadable ) of James Round Jr, Joseph Rounds and Samuel (unreadable) Blair the subscribing witnesses there to which will together with the proof thereof was ordered to be recorded which said will and proof are in the words and figures following to wit. In the name of God Amen. I Lemuel Rounds of Brown County State of Ohio being weak in body but sound in reason blessed be God for his mercies do make and publish my last will and testament. First that my body be buried in a decent and christian like manner, second that my funeral expenses and all my just debts be fully paid. Third I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Rounds in heir of her dower the plantation on which we now reside in Brown County Ohio containing about seventy acres during her widowhood and all the live chick, horses, cattle, sheep, hogs by me owned and kept therein also all the household furniture and other items not particularly named. (unreadable) at the decease or second marriage of my said wife as the case may be I give and devise to my son Lemuel Rounds the above described tract of land with the horses cattle sheep hogs & and other utensils which there may be belonging to said estate by his paying one hundred and forty dollars as follows to Patience Bradbury twenty dollars, to Miriam Gould twenty dollars. to Lucy Gould twenty dollars to Elizabeth Lemaster twenty dollars to Mary Light twenty dollars to Susannah Park twenty dollars and to the heirs of Mary Boothby decd twenty dollars and lastly - I hereby appoint and constitute my said wife Mary Rounds and my said son Lemuel Round and Ephraim Garrison to be the Executors of this my last will and testament revoking and annulling all former wills by me made and ratifying this and no other as my last will and testament, in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 1st day of Jany 1836 Lemuel Rounds his mark.. Signed sealed and delivered in presence of us (initials unreadable) Blair, James Rounds jr., Joseph RoundsProof: This day came into open court James Rounds, Joseph Rounds and (unreadable initials) Blair subscribing witnesses to the last will and testament of Lemuel Rounds dec'd and being duly sworn depose and say that said deceased signed the instrument to which his name is attached as his last will and testament in their presence, that said deceased was of sound and disposing mind and over twenty one years of age and signed said will without any (unreadable) that that these affiants signed the said will as witnesses thereto at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other.
