Markle file box No 60 Papers show that $416 was awarded to the widow Elizabeth Markle & Georgetta Lewis, Frances, Joseph, Ellen & Martha, minor children of decd & on Feby 14, 1850, three sworn appraisers set off $162.86 of the property which is itemized for their use, the balance $253.14 to be paid in money by the admr Neal C. McCullough who had been appointed Sept 28, 1849 The appraisers set off to sd widow & children the following property without appraisement as directed by statutes: 1 spinning wheel, 2 stoves, a large family bible, 6 books, 1 cow, wearing apparel of deceased & family, 3 bedsteads, beds & bedding, 1 table, 6 chairs & cupboard ware.
