Hamilton Journal -- The Daily News June 11, 1935
A lovely surprise party was enjoyed at the home of Mrs. P. Riley on South 
Fifth street. The party was in honor of the birthdays of Mrs. Arthur Gardner 
and Mrs. Paul Riley and was arranged by their daughters Betty Gardner and Elda 
Riley. A social time was enjoyed and late in the afternoon dainty refreshments 
were served. Those present were: Mesdames George Fink, Hattie Strict, Henry 
Maerz, Charles Kirby, Mark Thomas, Benton Layne, Andrew Stoeckel, George 
Shirey, Arthur Gardener, Paul Riley, Misses Betty and Marjorie Gardner, and 
Elda Riley and Lee Maerz.
