Tuesday August 23, 1960 Middletown Journal, Obituary:
Benjamin Franklin Williams
    Benjamin Franklin (Ben) Williams, 61 died at 1:40 p.m. yesterday at his 
home, 2214 Queen Ave.  He had been seriously ill three months and in failing 
health two years.
    Last May he retired as a custodian for the Howe Motor Co., where he had 
been employed 5 1/2 years.  Before that he was a self-employed carpenter.
    Mr. Williams was a veteran of World War I.  He was born in Clark County, 
Ky.
    Surviving are his wife, Willie May; a daughter, Mrs. Herbert Downs of 
Middletown; one sister, Mrs. Dora Ware of West Bend , Ky; and three grand 
children.
    Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the First Church of the 
Nazerene, with the Rev. Preston Theall officiating.  Burial will be at the 
Woodside Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the Riggs Funeral Home tomorrow from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 
p.m. andat the church Thursday after 9:30 a.m.
