Thompson Journals Written: April 1811 Will of James Pearce will book 1 page 59 I, James Pearce of Butler Co direct that: my wife have one horse 4 sows etc to assist in raising my children. to my oldest son Joseph a grey philly [sic] to be however for use of the family until Joseph is 21 yrs old. 3d all remainder of my estate to be divided between my wife & all my children as the law directs. 4. Exrs to sell property if they think best & buy other lands. Appoints wife Elizabeth Pearce Exrx together with Wm McClean & Robert Irvin dated Apr 1811 (seal) but no signature recorded.
