Champaign County Genealogy Society May 29, 1862
29 May 1862 -

MRS MARGARET SKEEN, born 1794 Lancaster Co, PA, died 16 May, aged 68 years.

Born 8th ult, a daughter to GEN BRIGGS, 2nd Ohio Regiment and SARAH BRIGGS of 
this county. 

Born the 26th inst, a son to H C and LIZZIE POWELL.

Married the 15th inst at the residence of the bride's father, ST LEGER NEAL of 
Texas (Champ Co) by REV W B JACKSON, JACOB BUFFINGTON and MISS ELIZABETH A NEAL 
of this county.

Married the 8th inst by REV J M CROSS at the home of the bride's father, REV 
JAMES S MCDONALD and MISS REBECCA N TODD. 

Married the 22nd inst at the residence of the bride's father on Buck Creek by 
REV J M CROSS, ED B MCGARRY and JENNIE L MCCREARY.

Married the 27th inst at Hamilton House in Urbana by WM THOMAS ESQ, JOHN H 
STOKES and MISS LAVINIA DICUS, all of this county. 

Additional Comments:
Ed (Edmund) B McGarry was the son of William & Catherine (Conklin) McGarry. 
Jenny (Eugenia) L McCreary was the dau of John & Mary Ann (Houck) McCreary.
