Last January, Mrs Hance fell and was forced to take her bed in a few days. She was never able to be up after that. She was born in Clark Co, Ohio, April 24, 1830, being past 89 years at her death and one of the oldest residents of Saint Paris. She married in 1872 to Dr. J.F. Hance and they made their home in DeGraff where the husband died 33 years ago. She is survived by one sister, Mrs Rosetta EPPLEY of Dayton. Mrs Hance came here 16 years ago after the death of her sister Mrs. Lambert POND, whose home she had kept open since that time and made a home for her nephew U.F. POND. As a member of the Bethel Baptist church of Clark County, she was ever faithful in her devotions and was an active member of the Home Circle of the local Baptist Church. Mrs Hance was a most admirable lady and loved by a wide range of acquaintance. Rev. J.M. Smith will have charge of the funeral services which will be held from the home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made at Evergreen cemetery.
