Mrs. Dash is still alive, but cannot recover. Dash has been a hard drinker for the past five or six years, and it is supposed was under the influence of liquor at the time of the murder. Two children, aged 8 and 12 years, were sleeping in the room at the time and were awakened by the struggle, and gave the alarm.
