Allen, 82, of 1301 Waterbury Place, Troy, died Monday, March 8, 2004, in Koester Pavilion, Troy. He was born Oct. 14, 1921, in Ironton, the son of the late Jasper and Sylvia (Murnahan) Allen. His first wife, Helen (Jacobs) Allen, died in 1983. He then married again April 16, 1988. She survives. Also surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, a daughter, stepchildren and spouses, 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in- law, two sisters-in-law, and a brother-in-law and wife. Also preceding him in death were a brother and sister-in-law, Stafford and Phyllis Allen. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He retired in 1988 as a machine repairman from Delphi of General Motors in Dayton. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose 1044 and a lifetime member of the Troy Fish and Game Club. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy, with the Pastor Carol Bastin officiating. Burial will be in Upper Honey Creek Cemetery, Christiansburg, with military services at graveside by Veterans Memorial Guard of Troy.
